Private MRI scans
Our private MRI scans use strong magnets and radio waves to produce detailed images of different areas of the body. A consultant radiologist will review your images and prepare a report.
MRI scans start from £355, with no higher price for particular appointment days or times.

DEXA scans
Our private DEXA scans (a type of low-dose X-ray) can check how strong your bones are and help find osteoporosis, where bones become weaker and more likely to break.

Our ultrasound scans use sound waves to create images from inside your body. They can be used to investigate many different symptoms without using radiation.

Prostate MRIs
Our prostate MRI scans use a high-strength 3T scanner to produce detailed pictures of the prostate (a small gland between the penis and the bladder). Consultant radiologists with specialist experience in prostate imaging review your scan.
Pain management
Our pain management service provides specialist treatment for people living with ongoing pain, including image-guided procedures for joint and spinal pain.
Advanced MRI technology
Heath Lodge is home to one of the best-equipped MRI facilities in the country, with three permanent MRI scanners on site: two 3T scanners and a wide-bore 1.5T scanner. Having all three scanners permanently based at Heath Lodge means your scan takes place in our dedicated clinical setting rather than a mobile scanning unit.
Our 3T scanners use a strong magnetic field to create highly detailed images, helping our radiologists see the area being examined clearly.
Our wide-bore 1.5T scanner has a wider opening, giving you more space during your scan. This can help make the experience more comfortable if you feel anxious in enclosed spaces.
Our scanning facilities are part of the clinic itself, providing a comfortable and private environment for your appointment.
