Heath Lodge Clinic COVID Update – 16th July 2021

As an essential service provider, Heath Lodge Clinic has remained open throughout the ongoing Pandemic and during this time, we have continued to work within Government guidelines (https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus) and followed the recommendations from various professional bodies.

We have reviewed our existing policies against Stage 4 of the Government’s Road Map, and in light of the ongoing rise in COVID positive cases, our existing protective measures will remain in place for the foreseeable future.
We will still require anyone visiting the clinic from Monday 19th July 2021 onwards, to wear a mask or face covering, unless exempt (proof required) and use the hand sanitizers which are located throughout the clinic. (Please note that our waiting rooms also remain closed until further notice).

We understand that other businesses may adopt a more relaxed approach, but as a health care provider, the safety of our patients, staff and visitors is of paramount importance.

We hope that that everyone will be respectful of our decision, and to confirm that these measures apply even where an individual has been vaccinated, as it is still possible to be a carrier of the virus or become infected.

To emphasise again that our procedures are in place to safeguard the interest of all concerned.

Please do not visit the clinic unless you are a patient and have a pre-booked appointment.

  • NB You will be required to wear face mask/covering unless you hold a valid exemption certificate, even if you have had both COVID vaccinations.
  • Every patient will be screened at the point of booking and on arrival, to confirm that they are not presenting with any COVID symptoms.
  • Do not attend your appointment if you feel unwell, are displaying any of the symptoms outlined in the Government guidelines, or if you or a family member are self-isolating due to a positive COVID test, or you have been linked to someone else who has tested positive.
  • Patients will be subject to temperature checks on arrival into the clinic and will be asked to wear a face mask during their scan/ treatment.
  • Hand- sanitiser must be used by every patient when entering and leaving the clinic.
  • We request that you attend your appointment on your own unless otherwise necessary.
  • Please avoid where possible travelling to the clinic by way of public transport.
  • On arrival, please call the clinic on 01564 732150 to advise that you have arrived in the car park
  • A member of our reception team will help you through our process for coming into the clinic.

Please arrive at the clinic as close to your appointment time as possible.

Additional Information:
We adhere to enhanced cleaning standards and infection prevention, with staff following a robust cleaning programme throughout each day, which includes but is not limited to, all door handles and surface touch points.

Staff are required to wear PPE appropriate to their individual roles and responsibilities.
We have a regular programme of lateral flow testing, and all clinical staff are trained in infection prevention and control standards.
The clinic also has an independent external advisory point which carries out cross infection prevention and control audits on behalf of the business.

Similarly, the clinic environment and all of the sensitive medical equipment undergoes an additional certificated disinfectant “fogging” treatment on a weekly basis, which is carried out by an accredited specialist Company.
