Heath Lodge Clinic COVID-19 update: October 2021.

The latest Government guidelines on COVID measures were released on Monday 4th October 2021.

The Government’s ongoing message is that COVID remains a risk even if you have been double vaccinated and are asymptomatic, as you can still be a carrier and effectively transmit the virus.

As there is now an increase in the amount of people are holidaying outside of the UK, the travel advice is slightly different depending on where you live in the country, however, “After you arrive in England you must take a COVID-19 test on or before day 2” (direct quote).

Therefore if you are attending Heath Lodge Clinic for an appointment, and have recently returned from overseas, you must follow the government guidelines as advised by the government: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-to-england-from-another-country-during-coronavirus-covid-19#history “

As an essential service provider, Heath Lodge Clinic has remained open throughout the ongoing Pandemic and during this time, we have continued to work within Government guidelines (https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus) and followed the recommendations from various professional bodies.

We have reviewed our existing policies against Stage 4 of the Government’s Road Map, and in light of the ongoing rise in COVID positive cases, our existing protective measures will remain in place for the foreseeable future.

Since Monday 19th July 2021, in line with other health providers such as GP practices and Hospitals, we continue to ask that anyone visiting the clinic wears a face mask or covering, and uses the hand sanitisers that are located throughout the building.

Please note also that our waiting rooms remain closed to all but essential users.

Thank you for your ongoing co operation and understanding.

We understand that other businesses may adopt a more relaxed approach, but as a health care provider, the safety of our patients, staff and visitors is of paramount importance.

To emphasise again that our procedures are in place to safeguard the interest of all concerned.

Please do not visit the clinic unless you are a patient and have a pre-booked appointment.

NB You will be required to wear face mask/covering unless you hold a valid exemption certificate, even if you have had both COVID vaccinations.

Every patient will be screened at the point of booking and on arrival, to confirm that they are not presenting with any COVID symptoms.

Do not attend your appointment if you feel unwell, are displaying any of the symptoms outlined in the Government guidelines, or if you or a family member are self-isolating due to a positive COVID test, or you have been linked to someone else who has tested positive.

Patients will be subject to temperature checks on arrival into the clinic and will be asked to wear a face mask during their scan/ treatment.

Hand- sanitiser must be used by every patient when entering and leaving the clinic.

We request that you attend your appointment on your own unless otherwise necessary.

Please avoid where possible travelling to the clinic by way of public transport.

On arrival, please call the clinic on 01564 732150 to advise that you have arrived in the car park. A member of our reception team will help you through our process for coming into the clinic.

Please arrive at the clinic as close to your appointment time as possible.

We adhere to enhanced cleaning standards and infection prevention, with staff following a robust cleaning programme throughout each day, which includes but is not limited to, all door handles and surface touch points.

Staff are required to wear PPE appropriate to their individual roles and responsibilities.
