The contact details and medical information you provide must be complete and accurate to the best of your knowledge to enable the clinic to process your request for a prostate screening MRI scan.

This service is a screening scan for men and anyone with a prostate who has no symptoms, aged 45 and over, or under 45 with a strong family history of prostate cancer. If you have new urinary symptoms, pain or other concerning changes, please speak to your GP about a diagnostic referral instead.

You must be registered with an NHS GP and provide us with their details. No scans can be undertaken if you do not provide us with details of your NHS GP.

Your scan report will be sent by our reports team to your registered NHS GP only. The report will not be issued directly to you as the patient. If your scan finds anything that needs following up, your GP will contact you to discuss next steps.

If you would rather not wait for your GP, an independent GP can go through your results with you over the phone for an additional fee of £75. Please ask our team if you would like this.

Your stated NHS GP will be entitled to contact the clinic and/or the reporting radiologists for more information about the report, and all images will be made available to hospital consultants if there is an onward referral.

A non-refundable £50 holding deposit is payable when you submit the referral form. The deposit comes off the £675 price of your scan, and the remaining £625 is paid on the day of your scan.

Prior to attending for your scan, the Heath Lodge booking team will contact you to confirm your MRI safety questionnaire to ensure it is safe for you to proceed with a scan.

You, as the patient, understand and accept that the scan may identify unexpected findings or abnormalities not contemplated by you.

As a self-referring patient, you are solely responsible for payment of all fees. Insurers do not currently cover screening scans.
